| Description: Operation Smile - DRC Music: Jose Gonzalos - Teardrop I was lucky enough to volunteer as a media photographer for operation smiles inaugurational medical mission to the DRC in May 2009. The end result of the 10 day mission where over 500 people screened for operations and a total of 215 men, women and mostly children having life changing cleft and facial surgery performed. Operation Smile has pledged to return to the DRC as there is a huge need for cleft surgery in this country. |
